Archangel Raphael is known as the angel of healing. He works to heal people’s minds, spirits and bodies, so they can enjoy peace and good health to the fullest extent of God’s will for them. St. Raphael is one of the seven Archangels, who stand before the throne of God. Our patron angel is one of the three angels, whose name has been revealed through the sacred scriptures. Raphael in various translations means “God Heals”, “Divine Healer”, or “Medicine of God”, for he has received his healing mission from the Lord.
Angel is the patron saint of traveler’s blindness, all bodily ills, doctors, nurses, medical caregivers and joyful meetings.
The angel is depicted holding a staff or standing on a fish, which alludes to angel’s healing of Tobit in the fish’s gall.
We the healers of St.Raphael offer to stand up for injustice and pain, shall lead in the front and let no harm come to any. The Joyful givers just like our patron St. Raphael shall put on a smile and walk ahead leading all, as powerful “Divine Healers”.
